There have been important shifts in the international development landscape over recent years. A range of non-DAC providers of development co-operation - including emerging economies, private philanthropies, and sector-specific funds - have rapidly increased support to developing countries. 

 

DAC Global Relations Strategy

The DAC global relations strategy welcomes non-DAC countries and organisations to engage in a dialogue of mutual learning. It identifies priority partners and instruments for the DAC’s engagement.

 

An open invitation to key partners

An open invitation is extended to OECD members who are not DAC members. Most already participate in the DAC's work on a daily basis.

Support to global dialogue initiatives

As part of our work on promoting partnerships for development we support global dialogue initiatives, including

• The International Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding: since 2008, it has worked to establish international objectives for peacebuilding and statebuilding in countries affected by conflict and fragility. The first such dialogue that gives fragile states a voice, it defines realistic objectives, sets the agenda for international support for peacebuilding and statebuilding, and helps ensure that the money that goes into fragile states meets specific needs.
